The ICU for the Skies
Intercontinental transport of patients requiring intensive care is inefficient, expensive, and limited to air ambulances. Meet The Guardian – an innovative, modular Patient Transport Compartment that equips commercial aircraft with an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a single flight, without disrupting airline operations.
Our mission is to make transportation of critically ill patients more affordable and reduce CO2 emissions by 50.000+ tons in 2035, benefiting patients and society.
The Guardian offers partner airlines attractive ancillary revenues, while reducing CO2 spent by private air ambulances by 99%.

The Guardian Patient Transport Compartment is installed and de-installed at the airline hub. This fully equipped ICU can be installed in 2 hours by 3 persons..

The Guardian PTC and operating procedures are proprietary and designed with deep knowledge of ICU patient transportation. The design is patent-pending and The Guardian cooperates with experienced suppliers to ensure a smooth certification process with EASA, FAA, ICAO, and EURAMI.
The Guardian PTC is a product of Inflight ICU BV and is developed primarily for widebody aircraft, as the need is highest for long-distance transportation of ICU patients.
We aim to transport our first patient in 2027.
